ABOUT THIS WORLD
----------------
Welcome to the Planets World, where you can zoom around an astronomically
accurate 3D model of the solar system and chat with your fellow
"astronauts"!
This is a complete VRML 2.0 world, and runs _only_ under a VRML 2.0 browser
which supports Java behaviors like Sony's "Moving Worlds" compliant browser
(beta version 2, which is also included on this CD).
NOTICE: THIS IS PRE-RELEASE SOFTWARE. You can find a more up-to-date
version at http://www.spiw.com/vs.
HOW TO USE THE PLANETS WORLD
----------------------------
* Load Sony's VRML 2.0 browser, beta version 2. (This world revision is
not guaranteed to work on any other version.)
* Select the OPEN option from the FILE pulldown menu. Select the
Planets directory and click on "main.wrl".
* You'll find yourself among the planets and freely able to move about.
There are several elements of interest in this world. This pre-release
version includes these features:
* The planets can be turned on by clicking on them.
* If you can find the "comet", click on it and experience a guided tour
of the solar system on top of the comet.
* The orbits of the planets are astromically accurate.
When you're finished using the world, your may close Sony's VRML 2.0
browser like you would any other Windows application.
